Write for us

Authentic Spotlight welcomes pitches that help readers inspect how information is made persuasive: its claims, evidence, images, language or context. A useful proposal has a defined question and a clear reader benefit, not just a broad subject or a promised takedown.

What we welcome

Pitch clear explainers, fair comparisons, image readings and close examinations of a specific reasoning habit. Strong subjects can be handled without dramatic allegations: show what can be established, what remains uncertain and why that distinction matters to a reader.

A useful pitch

Send a working title, the central question, the main points you would make and the kinds of sources or examples you would use. Explain what is distinct about your approach and where the limits of the piece lie. Avoid claims that depend on access you cannot document, blanket accusations, or conclusions stronger than the evidence.

Sending a proposal

Send proposals through the Contact page and select the general reason for writing. Please include a concise outline and relevant experience only where it helps explain your proposed approach. A pitch is not a promise of publication, and unsolicited finished work may not receive a detailed response.

Our point of view

A strong impression is not the same as strong evidence.

We look at how a message earns attention, where its support comes from and what a careful reader can reasonably conclude.
